J and P Historical Salvage was founded in 1990. Its founders, John and Paul, buy and sell historical buildings in southern Ontario. Beach wood sconce

This was a little project my brother and I did together, creating a decorative wall sconce that casts warm light and large shadows. Goes nicely with the firelight emitted from the living room fireplace. More lighting and projects using beach wood coming along!

Bruce Botanical Food Garden Spring 2012

The Farmhouse 2011

Beneath decades of historical decor, this charming brick Century home had much to reveal when the original elements were exposed. Having been expanded three times over the years, we began with the earliest structure. Exposing the transition wall, we found a letter in the old furnace pipe hole which contained the names of the individuals  involved in the build. Ari : set design//Mary’s Wedding, Persephone Productions Spring 2011

This project was a set design Ari, my wife, created for an independent production company in Montreal, Quebec. With only a small budget, she was able to source much of the material from the streets of Montreal. “Found material”. An every growing popular trend if you know where to look! Hambleton Contracting came on board to assist with the building and the installment of the set in the theatre.

Outdoor Shower

This client wanted to have a place for her grandchildren to rinse off sand after a day at the beach, this outdoor shower was designed to be the quick stop before heading inside the cottage.

Cedar Deck and Landscaping

This project was to build a larger deck off an existing L shaped deck on the side of this client’s home, as well as stone pathway between her flower beds and the new deck, and a low stone wall which would give her additional planting beds.
